AKEO ISHIZAWA

Designing, producing and installing outdoor advertisement as his main business while having provided brilliance to various regions by creating pictures and paintings, objects and monuments - Akeo Ishizawa's goal is clear.
Blending together art and everyday life in an ingenious way.
Akeo himself says:

"Including artistic paintings in things like signs, monuments and displays will lead to a smooth application of art to the limitations of design. This will broaden the variety of works created by Ai-sign and their freedom at the same time. Like that, I hope to touch people in a way that no one has ever before."

This also forms a big challenge in broadening the future of signs and objects as advertising means.
This homepage was made to present you the road of this challenge.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I have been drawing abstract painting for over twenty years. Abstract paintings are different from realistic paintings in that they are not bound by shape. They set us free from the bondage of common sense and give us the pleasure of “freedom” in the creative process. I knead the plaster paste until it becomes thin and smooth, then pour it onto the canvas and make a form with a wooden plate. I struggle with it giving some big strokes.

The destiny is sealed in just 4 or 5 minutes when plaster hardening begins. What will it become of? How will it turn out to be? Actually, I have no idea. It is an accidental product produced in my mind. Inner self emerges as I indulge myself in a sense between anxiety and ecstasy.

THOUGHTS TO “AURA MILLION”

AURA represents the atmosphere and energy that people produce. The thoughts and idea of people are released as wave and spread. MILLION represents numerous. Joy, anger, sorrow and happiness…, countless different emotions are swirling in our daily lives. I want to express subtle shades of emotion on canvas. The person’s feeling changes instantaneously and it is very uncertain. Abstract paintings are such vague things. It looks like the universe, the ocean or mountains, faces, flowers or it could look like the bottom of your heart. An abstract painting changes its motif depending on the viewer and how it looks changes depending on how the viewer feels. After all, abstract paintings give you new discoveries.

“AURA MILLION” How does it look to you? I want you to feel what you feel standing in front of the paintings. Please feel free to spread your wings of imagination.

”Challenge for the future”

The purpose of signs is to communicate thoughts and deliver information.
I want to provide brilliance to the scenery by making artistic signs - merging functionality and artistry.

That is what I thought when establishing my company, and it is what I want to remind myself of at any time continuing my life as a designer and artist.
My dream is to decorate New York with an Apple Monument.
